About Me

Hi, I am María Isabel, and I am delighted that you came to my little blog.

At Code Name Mom you will find tips and tools to help you in your individual journey from Womanhood to Motherhood, because there aren’t two women who are the same, or either two mothers who are the same, but we are on this together, and it should be a sisterhood. I think women should believe in women and trust each other. Consider me one of your sisters, because I will surely treat you like one.

I am a stay-at-home mom of two kids (boy & girl) in their tween years, and wife. (Taking a deep breath, because soon they will be teenagers.)

I always knew I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom. My biggest role model was my grandmother (who raised me), she taught me the basics for who I am today and also inspired me to be a stay at home mom.

I developed a love for writing in my teen years, which has never fade, and wanted to create this website since 2010, but for some reason I kept putting it off.

Why I Blog

I started this blogging journey because I have many things to share with other women and mothers, which can help improve the quality of their lives. Because life is made of small details, like a puzzle, which piece by piece gives moments of happiness. Although it is difficult to be happy all the time, since there are ups and downs in life, we can have many pieces of happiness and thus achieve maximum happiness possible.

Fun Facts

codenamemom.com-favicon  Since I was really young I have a profound love for the Arts, inculcated by my grandmother. My preferred way of expressing it (as a kid) was through drawing, sketching, arts and crafts, sewing, and a bit of cooking, with my grandmother as a mentor.

codenamemom.com-favicon  I disliked the color pink, but since having my daughter, she made me see it differently, like a delightful touch and whisper of femininity (light pink) or a scream of femininity (hot pink), and now I love all shades of it.
